Excellent service and fast - A positive review

I think this website might be for complaints? But I only have a positive review. I had the best experience possible with Value Floors Direct. I had gotten price quotes from 3 different vendors and Value Floors Direct had the best price by far. I was nervous that this might mean the quality or service wouldn't be as good - I was wrong. After several messy phone calls with one of the other higher priced vendors (first they didnt want to discuss with me, only my decorator, then they stalled in getting me a shipping quote), I continued to speak with Dan at Value Floors Direct and each time he was direct, helpful, professional, and answered all of my questions! Such a pleasure to work with. Our shipment arrived ahead of schedule, very quickly, and was exactly as expected. No damaged tiles or any problems. So incredibly happy with the level of service.

Good prices, great service, but check shipment before signing off!

I have remodeled 2 different bathrooms across the last couple years, using tile from Value Floors Direct. The tile price was good, and the shipping process was fast. The owner is very easy to work with. BUT I will just say that make sure you check each and every package that arrive BEFORE signing off on it. 1 shipment was fine, but part of a second shipment was repackaged by the shipper and some tiles were broken -but I just refused acceptance and they shipped out a fresh unbroken replacement. I do wish they would have better pictures on their web site, so you might want to crosscheck the tile make and model on the web.

I saw some of the negative comments before I purchased my tile from Value Floors Direct, but after speaking to them, I decided to give them a try. Dan was very pleasant on the phone, and I received my order on time and in good condition! And of course the price was excellent. When I asked about the complaints they told me both issues were due to an employee that was fired because of those issues. After I received my tile, I remembered these complaints and felt that I should let others know that my experience was very pleasant and professional.

Are they incompetent or a fraud

ordered 1100 dollar worth of tiles in january. they constantly told me that had it and would be shipping soon. finally they indicated on my account that it was shipped, but it never was. the tracking number does not show any material on r and l trucking. i cannot really tell if they are a deliberate fraud or just a totally broken company with internal problems. but i recommend staying away. phone is only answered in one of about 100 tries to contact them. i am waiting for my credit card company to resolve this so i can get my money back.

finally after placing a dispute with discover card, the tiles showed up about 10 days later with no notice about their delivery. they were correct in good shape and i have no complaints about the delivery or the quality of what i received.

but it was painful. in the end their prices were ok but 10 weeks with almost no communication - something is not right there but it was not a fraud- just a company that is broken a bit

Charged my card, but did not ship!!!!

They charged my credit card, gave me a shipping number from a shipping company, but the shipping company has no record of it, and the shipping company says they don't even have a shipment going to my area! I have left numerous voice mails but no one returns my calls!! I am very concerned about if this company is a scam. I should have known when I asked them where they were located they would never give me a straight answer. I am filing a credit card disput and calling the police to file a complaint if they do not call me back!!!

Not Worth it

I'm not really pissed but I would not recommend buying from this company. Communication is hit or miss, sometimes it comes right back, other times you will wait a week. Their stock is not updated in real time because the material I was trying to buy was not available and they will renege on their prices/offers. Not a good way to do business if you want to keep customers and make a living on the web. My advice, buy from someone else. All the customer testimonials on their site - they must be fake, I have a hard time believing any of them after my dealings with this company.

I was a customer of Value Floors but I actually took the time to call and check if they had the product that I was interested in in stock. They didn't but they gave me a date that it would be in since it was coming directly from Italy and it was the exact date that is actually arrived.

I asked them what would have happened if I ordered online and they didn't have the product and they were really transparent with me and told me that they would have contacted me and told me they could put my order on hold or cancel my order all together. Well worth the wait for the beautiful tile I got for a fraction of the price that my local tile store was charging.

I am also in the midst of a very bad experience with Value Floors Direct. I've been given tracking number that doesn't even exist with the carrier they claimed to be using for the shipping.

I've tried for hours on end to reach customer service and sales, with no luck. I even called the number listed on my bank statement related to the charge with no response. I was assured the tile would be at my home today for the contractor to install and now cannot even locate where it is currently. I'm wondering if it was even shipped out at all.

Now my job is on hold with my dining room torn up awaiting some kind of communication with Value Direct - I've left 5 voice mails and emailed as well.

If it is not resolved by tomorrow I am disputing the charge with my bank. I would stay far away from any dealings with Value Flooring Direct!

This customer entered an coupon code at the shopping cart that was not authorized to him, nor has it been authorized to anyone in at least 6 months. We responded promptly and when he complained, we decided not to do business with him and therefore not to respond any further.

Unfortunately online companies are frequently targets of fraud, so when we see what we believe to be dishonesty displayed by a potential consumer, we must refrain from doing business with that person.

We have always honored and continue to honor all prices and discounts offered to our customers!

Shipped broken tile in the middle of unbroken

Value Floors Direct - Shipped broken tile in the middle of unbroken
I ordered over $1,000 of large tile and it came shipped on a plastic wrapped pallet in excellent condition. Upon inspecting the pallet and the boxes with the driver all looked fine. I even gave them a good review originally. The tiles were large and there were about 12 boxes in total 5 tiles per box all strapped together for support. Upon laying the tile, my contractor got to the 6th box sandwiched in the middle of the other boxes and every tile in the box was cracked in exactly the same place, but the box was intact except for a small quarter sized whole in the front. This small puncture was impossible to see, the rest of the box was in pristine condition and they were too heavy to unstrap for fear they would fall over and break. the tiles were shipped broken. I contacted the company and since it was past 30 days they said too bad. I wanted the tiles here in plenty of time, and i assumed the any damage would be done in shipping, not prior. in good faith I would think the company would have taken care of $65 in tile and not lose business. BUYER BEWARE and make sure to inspect each and every tile one by one if you decide to purchase. That is if the driver will wait while you break down the pallet, cut the packing and open all the boxes. My contractor thinks the forklift pierced the box and broke the tile through and through. They packed the broken box right in with the unbroken. Oh, the offered me a discount on future purchases! NOT!

I actually sent two very clear pictures with my original information!! One of the small hole and the broken tile.

Why are you saying that? You are misinforming people I have proof of the date and content of the email.

We strive to stand by every order that is shipped from our warehouse. This customer ordered material, recieved the material, and signed stating the material was in good condition.

After recieving the material, they did not contact us the next day, or the next week.

They contacted over 90 days later and did not submit any photos of damage, nothing. So we had to refuse her claim.

Value floor direct; Hall green; Birmingham

Our Laminate flooring had been selected by Value floors in Birmingham, Hall green branch. A change in the flooring had been made were we had paid extra to cover the material and fitting, with the correct measurements. They had miss calculated the amount and laminate to be fitted on the areas we paid for, They Charged us 3 times the amount we originally had been quoted due to the fitters being on site and had been asked to order more flooring with extra cost to complete the job. We had no apology for the way our account was dealt with. Customer service and Charges were appalling.

Wanted to charge me to return for unused cartons of tiles.

I bought 300 sq ft of porcelain tile from Value Floors Direct (.com)...when the project was over I had 4 boxes of tiles left over (around 48 sq ft)...I wanted to return them for a refund...I found out at that time that with their 30% restocking fee and their outlandish shipping charges (the cost was virtually the same as the original shipping fee for all of the tile...original cost for shipping was $154...the cost to return only 4 boxes $135)...I was told I would have to pay THEM to return the tile...BUYER Beware!!

This "customer" clerly understands nothing at all about tiles! It is ludicrous to think one can return such small quantities sine every batch has different shades and caliper (size), thus, a small qunatity is virtually of no use for anyone. On the other hand, any wise customer will buy ad extra 5-8% of coverage for possible future needs (breakages etc).

Guest

Wow. I'm thinking about placing an order with Value Floors Direct and therefore researching the organization as much as possible.

In my opinion, LMUNNELLY's comment is unreasonable. The 30% restocking fee is clearly outlined on VFD's "shipping and returns" page (as they stated). The fee will certainly factor into my decision to buy (or not) from them, but it's not like the policy is hidden.

Also, it's not VFD's fault the consumer over estimated their need by over fifteen percent.

P.S. I'm in no way affiliated with VFD.

Guest

Mrs. Munnelly is correct, we do charge a 30% restocking charge and the customer is responsible for the return shipping.

This information is clearly stated on our website under the shipping and returns. Unfortunately, tile and flooring is extremely heavily and expensive to ship. Therefore, any cost associated with returning the product is factored in. We provided Mrs Munnelly a clear written breakdown of the cost, and return charges in accordance with our return policy.

While unfortunate, we believe most people understand that we cannot cover the $135 in shipping on a $166 in product. We would not be in business for long.

Guest

Our return policy is clearly posted on our website under the shipping and returns. Unfortunately, tile is heavy and expensive to ship.

Therefore, we pass on the return freight to the customer. This is not hidden information and it is clearly posted on our website www.valuefloorsdirect.com
